Backpressure: the resistance of air you feel from the inside of a didgeridoo while you are playing it. Usually small diameter tubes have more backpressure and large diameter tubes have less. Good backpressure allows you to circular breathe more easily and be efficient with your air flow.

Harmonics: the didgeridoo has a fundamental key. Harmonics are higher frequencies found within the fundamental key. They can be manipulated by the placement of your tongue while playing. For example, while playing the didge position your tongue like saying the letter "e", but do not use your vocal cords. This will create a harmonic.

Vocals: vocal response is the ability of the didgeridoo to project sound from your vocal cords while playing the drone. Usually larger diameter didges have better vocal response than smaller diameter didges.

Volume: the amount of sound that is produced.

  1. toot toot! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Sep 2016

This is the third Didgeridoo Store didge I have purchased. I started with the Deluxe and then the slider, both with smaller bore. The Flared Bell didge is a little bigger bore and more effort, but after 2 months I'm able to circular breathe on them all. It sounds great and the package deal is a deal!!!!
I play 30+ minutes a night to try and get rid of sleep apnea. i'm still tired during the day but some nights, I think I am not so noisy. I love the DVD and have learned a lot from it. (Didge instructors are cute and this guy is no exception) The sticks are very colorful and with good sound. And the padded bag? Did I mention the padded bag? It's all good. and I would recommend this package, or any of the packages.

  2. Just what we wanted 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2015

This was a Christmas gift for our son and it has been just what he wanted. With the CD, he is learning circular breathing quickly and having fun. It has been the perfect starter for him, and we are very grateful for the quick delivery and a beautiful, quality instrument.

  3. Looking forward to sleeping without that damned mask, LOL 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th May 2013

I have always enjoyed the music of the Didgeridoo, and promised myself to learn it one day. Well now is the time, as I have sleep apnea and I'm determined to beat it by learning circular breathing. I'm fed up with wearing enough equipment to bed to fly a U-2.
    Love the training DVD.
